EXTREME PERFORMANCE

The Xerotherm Arctic is one of the highest performance undersuits in scuba diving. Constructed using a unique combination of low volume, high insulation materials, the Xerotherm Arctic’s two layer structure creates a microclimate next to the skin, maximising the retention of body warmth during a dive.

Using high density fleece, the Xerotherm Arctic holds air next to the skin and wicks away moisture from suit leaks or perspiration to maintain a dry zone next to the skin. The outer layer is high stretch, abrasion resistant material, which will not interfere with the operation of auto dump valves, and will not cause air to be trapped.

FUNCTION

The Arctic will also continue to perform when wet. In situations even when a drysuit has flooded, the Xerotherm Arctic continues to provide thermal protection.

The suit is designed to maximise fit and performance, giving snug protection to the body, including the feet.

The Xerotherm Arctic is fully machine washable

VERSATILITY

Suitable for wearing underneath neoprene or membrane drysuits, the Xerotherm Arctic, can be used in conjunction with the Xerotherm base layer to provide extra protection for the most extreme diving conditions. (link to layering system page)

Fourth Element’s drybase and Xerotherm products are designed to be used in concert with each other in a layering system. This enables selection of a thermal protection which is appropriate to a wearer’s drysuit and the environmental conditions.

These socks work well without any additional layers.

These socks are great. I don't bother donning any additional sock with them. I am very comfortable in mid 40F water dives. I use these with my fusion undergarment.

Very good build quality. I really like 4th element's stuff.

Very comfortable and warm

These socks worked great. They kept my feet warm in 15 Deg C waters. Have not tried them in colder waters. I have flex boots on my dry suit which provide no insulation so these socks worked very well.

They were very comfortable as well. The cutting is just right and leaves no tight corners or sources of irritation to your feet or toes.

The outside of the socks were very smooth and they slid into the dry suit boots really easily.

Great product!

Warm, flexible, pricey

I use these in 50F water, with no other layers and I never got cold. I found that a bit surprising, given their lack of bulk. They are not form fitting and have two independent layers so you'll want to pay a little attention to avoiding creases when dressing up, but in practice I never had an issue with them. They are fairly long and a good match for White's Thermal Fusion undergarment, which is a little 'under-powered' in the calf area.

I just purchased my arctic socks because I was returning to dive the Milwaukee Car Ferry again and had difficulty with cold feet the last time around. I was surprised at how much warmer my feet stayed during the two dives over 100 feet. The socks were easier to don than the smartwool socks and MK2 I previously used. The arctic socks fit well into my rock boots and seem to dry easily. I am very happy with my purchase and Dive Right In Scuba's quick delivery!!

Very comfortable and warm socks without the bulk of some of the other offerings. Well worth the money.

I have used these on about 10 dives this winder/spring in temps down to the mid 40's and they have kept me warm. As always, great quick service from DRIS.

Warm! I wasn't sure if the arctic socks would be warmer than the neoprene socks that came with my White's Dry Suit. My toes stayed warm for (3) 50 degree dives. Took off one point as the sock is wide for my foot and takes extra time to get them to fit comfortably, but once done I'm good for the day.

I get cold in 52F water easy. Was using a 3mm sock + hiking sock. Now using hiking sock + this artic sock. Artict is well made, fairly thick, also goes high up my ankle. Seems to have solved the problem with warmth, but no surprise has added some buoyancy lift to my feet.

These drysuit socks are more snug and much more comfortable than some produced by a leading drysuit manufacturer. It has the same great quality that I've seen in all of my 4th Element products and DRIS had my size in stock.
