EXTREME PERFORMANCE

The Xerotherm Arctic is one of the highest performance undersuits in scuba diving. Constructed using a unique combination of low volume, high insulation materials, the Xerotherm Arctic’s two layer structure creates a microclimate next to the skin, maximising the retention of body warmth during a dive.

Using high density fleece, the Xerotherm Arctic holds air next to the skin and wicks away moisture from suit leaks or perspiration to maintain a dry zone next to the skin. The outer layer is high stretch, abrasion resistant material, which will not interfere with the operation of auto dump valves, and will not cause air to be trapped.

FUNCTION

The Arctic will also continue to perform when wet. In situations even when a drysuit has flooded, the Xerotherm Arctic continues to provide thermal protection.

The suit is designed to maximise fit and performance, giving snug protection to the body, including the feet.

The Xerotherm Arctic is fully machine washable

VERSATILITY

Suitable for wearing underneath neoprene or membrane drysuits, the Xerotherm Arctic, can be used in conjunction with the Xerotherm base layer to provide extra protection for the most extreme diving conditions. (link to layering system page)

Fourth Element’s drybase and Xerotherm products are designed to be used in concert with each other in a layering system. This enables selection of a thermal protection which is appropriate to a wearer’s drysuit and the environmental conditions.

Comfortable in Monterey
Review by
I wear these socks straight over my bare feet in my trilaminate drysuit with integrated boots while diving Monterey, and they keep my feet nice, comfortable, and warm. Though they're not form-fitting and have multiple layers that can slide around, that hasn't interfered with my ability to fin at all.

Cure for cold feet

These feel like those snow socks you wear for snowboarding in terms of how much they make your feel warm. They are not as bulky as snow socks but they feel very warm. It is comfortable in the 40-50 degree waters.

I wear these socks on every dive. My feet dont get too hot nor cold at all in them. They fit very well and don't feel bulky at all once in the suit. I've worn them in the mid 40s with no cold feeling.

Warm and Cozy

I generally dive in cold water, from 38F to 55F. It's nice to have warm toes and fingers. I bought a pair of these Arctic socks and I'm very pleased with them. I have had reasonable success with a few thick ski socks, but these are good. Perhaps a little buoyant, but the warm air is the key, so I'm ok with the slight increase in buoyancy. I did not have to change weighting. Good Buy!

Warm As Can Be
Review by
Highly recommend the Arctic socks over the Xerotherm socks; these will keep your feet nice and toasty, with no additional socks needed. I'm a size 10.5 shoe, and wear a size L sock, for sizing reference.
