EXTREME PERFORMANCE

The Xerotherm Arctic is one of the highest performance undersuits in scuba diving. Constructed using a unique combination of low volume, high insulation materials, the Xerotherm Arctic’s two layer structure creates a microclimate next to the skin, maximising the retention of body warmth during a dive.

Using high density fleece, the Xerotherm Arctic holds air next to the skin and wicks away moisture from suit leaks or perspiration to maintain a dry zone next to the skin. The outer layer is high stretch, abrasion resistant material, which will not interfere with the operation of auto dump valves, and will not cause air to be trapped.

FUNCTION

The Arctic will also continue to perform when wet. In situations even when a drysuit has flooded, the Xerotherm Arctic continues to provide thermal protection.

The suit is designed to maximise fit and performance, giving snug protection to the body, including the feet.

The Xerotherm Arctic is fully machine washable

VERSATILITY

Suitable for wearing underneath neoprene or membrane drysuits, the Xerotherm Arctic, can be used in conjunction with the Xerotherm base layer to provide extra protection for the most extreme diving conditions. (link to layering system page)

Fourth Element’s drybase and Xerotherm products are designed to be used in concert with each other in a layering system. This enables selection of a thermal protection which is appropriate to a wearer’s drysuit and the environmental conditions.

Nice and warm

Surprisingly warm for the thickness. I get to stay warm in 13C water with my BARE shell. Much easier to get into the dry suit when I can leave the top off and avoid getting too hot with this undergarment.

Simply Awesome as expected.

I get cold easy. But I dive in cold water and I make long dives. I have been a big fan of 4th element garments and my artic top is the latest in my collection. I currently use this top with a xerotherm bottom...for long cave dives in 70 water (3 hours). No layering required. I am consistently impressed with the quality of the materials. Once I order the bottoms...I'll try them out in the local 45 degree water...but that might require layering to ensure comfort.

4th Element products are extremely well made. What I love about this is it's too piece. I wear an XL top, but need a Large Short bottom....with this system you can mix and match. I've worn this setup in 48 degree water with a Cabelas ECWCS base layer and was warm for the entire dive (hour long). Good stuff!

The Fourth Element Arctic top is Excellent! I just picked up the arctic top with the Leggings and Im in love with Fourth Element products. I used the arctic top & leggings with base layer under my Tri. drysuit down to 45 degrees and was 100% cozy even with a slight wrist seal leak. Never noticed it until I removed my drysuit. A very nice fitting top and looks good when worn with leggings. I highly recommend the Fourth Element Arctic Top and Legging if your looking for a warm non bulk undergarment.
Service is always great with DRIS and the shipping is Fast & Quick.
Will be back to deal with DRIS again.

I was looking to get the Arctics top and found it cheaper on another website. I emailed DRIS regarding their price match guarantee and the matched it. The transaction was smooth and the shipping was super fast to the west coast. The top was true to size. I got and XL. I'm 6' 3" 200 lbs with a 46" chest. Fits just right. I have no dove it yet but 90% of my teammates use them in our 50-60 degree waters and love them. Thx DRIS

Very well made and comfortable. The best thing is it keeps you warm. I have often been cold with my polar fleece. This stuff is just as light weight but much warmer.

I'm really happy with my Arctic setup, it's very warm for the thickness, and the quality seems quite nice. I had some stitching coming out on one of my 4th Element socks, which was very quickly taken care of by calling them - they sent me a brand new one a couple days later, no hassle at all. Works in the 50s for me with a well fitting tri-lam, cooler than that or on longer dives I need to start layering or throw on the sub-zeros. The Arctics are really comfy, low bulk, and don't restrict my flexibility at all.

Combine with the legging and the socks, the arctic top gives you the warm and sweat you need while diving in 50 degrees water. Other warm and toasty in a drysuit is always a good thing. A worst thing did happen to me was my drysuit got flooded, unfortunately, I didn't realized until the end of the dive. Besides diving, the arctic top is good for everything especially biking or running because this thing just warms you up real good. For the price of the whole set of the legging, the top, and the socks versus other undergarment, the arctic undergarment is well worth every penny.

Used top without base layer under 200g Thinsulate undergarment in 55 degree water. Kept me very warm, and previously I would always be chilled at end of day after multiple hours of diving. Despite relatively thinness, it does trap air and required more additional weight than I was expecting. Size chart appears accurate- fit is snug but not constricting. Excellent range of motion.
