The first stage comes with a turrent (DST model) and is great for sidemount or stage bottle rigging.
You can get other regs for a little bit less, but in terms of quality, ease of breathing, and durability there is no equal. The XTX 50 is my top recommendation for any new diver looking for equipment that will last them their entire career.
