Good buckle

The buckle is good. It is nice to have and just use scuba webbing. It is nice to use for when I am using a backplate.

Great for the belt

This is a great buckle for the belt. I do not use a belt for scuba diving, but for free diving. These hold the weights up well and I have confidence that it will not fail and drop my weights. It is low profile which is good. It hasn't rusted which is a good sign of quality.

Work great for my needs

I'm using this buckle on my bp/w harness with dris 2" webbing. I like that it is low profile and locks securely. Typically with a three slot buckle you weave through the slots and double the webbing back with the outermost slot, but I found the slot too narrow to accommodate the doubling the webbing back through. The webbing still held securely without slippage. To hold the extra webbing in place (the tag end that normally doubles back through the slot) I used a ranger band (the heavy duty black rubber bands typically made out of bicycle inner tubes.)

Very nice

I have recently replaced my plastic buckle with this one. Very nice product. I was expecting that it would be a little heavier as that would enable me a little more negative buoyancy. I was a bit disappointed in that regard but other than that, it does what it was made for and does it well. Will last a life time.

Good buckle which I used to make a weight belt when a rubber one broke on a trip. Did not rust, did not slip, and was easy enough to release. Would buy again.

I bought one of this buckle. Like one of the reviewer said, it is very low profile. Basically, it is not exactly like what is shown in the picture. Stilll good quality. However, if you plan to use this as a canister "stopper" on your harness, it won't work. It is too "thin".

This buckle is very low profile, seems tough, and has a very positive snap to it.
The only reason I don't give it a higher score is that the tolerances are too tight to use with a thick webbing.
Working with DRIS is always a pleasure.

I bought this stainless steel buckle to replace a plastic one. SS works well and has a positive snap to it. You can feel it has closed. The plastic bucket didn't have that snap so you kind of assumed it closed. Not a great feeling.
Dealing with DRIS has always been a great experience. They always go that extra step to make sure you get what you are looking for even when you're not sure what your looking for.

buckle works well. to be honest, it feels a bit flimsy compared to other steel buckles i've seen/used. Again, its a budget item so expectations can't be too high. for an inexpensive buckle its great, but i had hoped for something a little more solid.

I‘ve been using this buckle in my Hogarthian (back plate and wing) rig for a while with nothing worth noting other than it works just fine as a belt buckle.
It seems to be built out of heavier stainless material than some of the pretty “chrome” looking buckles which gives it a more positive locking feel.
