I bought this mainly because it’s red. Looks pretty cool. It’s as good as any on the market. I have harnesses from other manufactures, but for the price, you can’t beat this one if you’re looking for a basic harness. It’s simple. It’s quality. And it works!

It's a single piece webbing harness, it does it's job. The webbing was long enough for me (42 ... 44" waist).
The plastic buckle for the light canister was not in the package. Apparently HOG did not include it even so on their web site it also says they are included. DRIS found out that that seems to be the case, but was simply great about it and gave me a SS buckle they happened to have at hand.
The price was nice, nicer yet with a price match.
It's my first harness, so I am far from an expert, but so far (singles only so far) it worked just fine.

I really like this simple harness and must will love it, but for one thing was a drawback. The total length of the webbing is 12'. So if you are a little on the fatter side, or want to cut the harness and add a quick disconnect down the line, you might find yourself without enough webbing. If they had added 2' to the over all length at a cost to HOG of about $1.50 I'd give it a 5. But for most it will be just fine.

I bought this harness with a stainless backplate and had it webbed by DRIS for cold water diving. High quality, professionally assembled, I would highly recommend this harness to anyone!

This is the best harness out there! I have never felt the need for shoulder straps and shoulder padding etc. The more simple we keep it the more freedom of movement we will have. This harness is the embodiment of the minimalist philosophy. The straps are fairly comfortable and I have used them on t shirt without any problems. They dig into the shoulder when I wear this with 130 HP tank but when I am in the water I am as comfortable on the shoulders as I was wearing a 3mm wetsuit.

I use to "build" my own harness system for my backplate. After seeing this package, I would rather get this rather than "building" my own harness. You cant beat the price. It comes complete with everything you need. I have one of this package in my save a dive kit for just in case.
