I did find the large thumb catch to be slightly easier to open with thick, 7mm gloves, than a standard snap bolt. However, these are a little too short for my hands. The 4.5 Snap Bolt is preferable to me because of the length and they are almost as easy to open as the butterfly snap bolts.

Butterfly bolts are easier to use than snap bolts. Some people say they are not as reliable, but I think they are and the convinence makes them just that much better.

The snap is easy to open even with very thick gloves. You can located it by feel alone so no need to take your eyes off whatever is in front of you.

A bit pricey but

It is on the high end price wise but it is a great product. When I am diving with thick gloves I can not press tiny buttons on clips. This clips allows me to just push against a d ring and it just snaps in place. Very nice.

I love these clips but they are a bit pricey. I use them on items which are harder to reach to make them easier to deploy with gloves if need be the case. They are well made and made of high quality ss so mine havent rusted yet.

Despite the price the Butterfly clip is easy to use and i would like to replace all of my clips with them if they where cheaper.
