This is great for providing grip to remove the regulator cap. I can remove it without the tool but I risk damaging the cap. This allows me to provide even pressure on it to remove it without any potential damage.

Great little tool which doesnt mess up the cap cover when trying to remove regulator caps which have become stuck. Good little tool regardless if you service your own regs or not.

This cap remover is large enough to remove the diaphragm covers of my Apeks and HOG 2nd stages. It won't scratch the second stage even when you put some muscle behind it. I wish it had a ridged or bumped texture on the outside edge and/or surface to help get an extra firm grip with particularly stubborn regs, but it's a lot better than having nothing at all. If you're still having trouble, try sticking the 2nd stage in the fridge for a few minutes and then give it another go.
