Inline Shut-Off for Second Stage

I bought this to seal off the first stage from the second on my stage/deco bottle. Installation is a breeze and the item works flawlessly. It requires a positive motion to activate, but not so that it is difficult underwater with gloves on and it provides tactile feedback to tell you that you have activated it.

I have one of these on my main set of regs and forget to use it since most of the time I jsut end up fiddling with the adjustment knob on my octo but its nice to know i have a plan b if something went really wrong and the free flow wouldnt stop. Subsequently purchased one for my wife as well.

This is another piece of great gear from Highland. I use it on a stage and haven't had any issues. I purchased my first one from another place and overpaid. DRIS has better prices - thanks.

A little disappointing. The sleeve is contained only by the attached LP hose, and can otherwise slip off an unattached valve.. Still, you can't beat the price, and when disassembled, the design is foolproof. The more expensive ones just contain the on/off sleeve. I'd say it was perfect for my air bench. Not sure for underwater use.

A must for cold water divers!! As always, I did a litttle research. The crew at Dive Right always provides me with any info I require. This item was first suggested to me by a master instructor, many conversations later I figured what the heck.

I this point I have purchased not one but four of these inline shut off valves. Some people disagree on the benefits however up here in Canada we drive 2 hours to the dive spot and two hours back. Having your dive cut short due to a free flows and frozen iced up regs is less than desirable. The gas for my car and the tank fill wasted due to a free flow easily covers the cost of one of these babies.

The valve has saved several ice diving trips this past season. I highly recomend if you dive in any sort of colder weather to install one. I have also purchased my HOG D1 cold water stages from Dive Right Scuba and have installed the inline valves. I have not yet been forced to use the valves with my HOG regulars but wanted to be safe rather than sorry.
