No reason you can't maintain your own gear using this book and the service manual of your equipment.
After reading this book you may find you want to hover over the shoulder of the repair technician the next time you get your annual regulator services, both to learn more and to make sure he/she is taking good care with your life protecting equipment. At the very least you will find a good reason to make sure that service shop at your local dive shop is orderly and clean before you allow them to work your regulator.
