I do like the wool lining, as it keeps my ears toasty, but i dislike the zipper. I do like the open cell neoprene as it gives a better seal.

It's a nice as it get the 7mm hood is warm work good with 7mm merino pinnacle wet suit. The hood is very comfortable work in cold water 40f. Check with mike for right size.

This hood is warm and comfortable, but it has some serious drawbacks. There is a smooth skin section that covers the neck (looks shiny in the images) that doesn't seem to ever sit flat as it is not attached at the top. The bib is also too small and routinely pulls out of my suit by the end of the dive.
