Maxtec Sensors are the best available

the sensor is the heart and soul of the analyzer, Maxtec sensors are as good as they get, 2 yr. warranty, great company to do business with. great analyzers, quick fast one button calibration, sturdy, manufactured in the USA. easily recognized as the Industries leader with Nitrox, and O2 analysis.

A nice compact little unit that is accurate and easy to use. The biggest benefit to this sensor over others is the sensor warranty; since replacement sensors for most units are 100+ dollars, a unit which warrants a sensor for 4 years and often times lasts longer is a hug perk.

Easy to use analyzer. Results are accurate and the sensor has a nice long warantee. The batteries are AA which is nice. I threw a set of rechargeables in there and have had no problem!

Excellent product! Maxtec set a new standard in dive safety with this analyzer. Fast response and quick shipping from DRIS as always. This uses a propriety weak-acid sensor, which provides a longer effective life than the more common strong-acid sensors found in Oxycheq/NuVair/etc analyzers. The result is that while Maxtec only warranties their sensor life for 48 months, it is quite common to find original 250+ weak acid sensors with usable life after more than four years of heavy use. If I was aware of this, I would have taken a more serious look at the Handi analyzer also made by Maxtec. I am only giving it four stars for two reasons: 1) there is no convenient place to write your name on this unit, only option I had was to write on the yellow rubber shock protector. Perhaps a steel engraving plate could be molded into the rear of the unit? 2) the unit does not come with a waterproof container, and the container sold through Maxtec is too big. I am able to easily store my MaxO2 in a Pelican 1020 micro case. But for the top dollar this product brings, I would expect the unit to come with ALL necessary accessories included!

I’m pleased with the accuracy and simplicity of the small unit. It came with both a hose attachment and a DIN sized ball mount to facilitate easy sampling of both DIN bottles and O2 emergency cylinders. DRIS quickly and favorably dealt with an issue caused by rough mail handling. The unit was well packed and works fine.

I went with this analyzer because I like the one button calibration and that it's a fairly compact, self-contained unit (no knobs or switches to baby). The unit has been easy to use and done everything I need it to. Press the power button, press the calibration button with a tank of air going, switch over to the tank(s) you want to analyze and you're good to go.

I always use the ball flow restrictor pressed right against the valve (works for both DIN and yoke, although a bit better seal with DIN). It comes with a length of hose and another attachment for using with a low pressure inflator but I've never figured out how to get this to work and it's not covered in the manual. There's a detailed manual, a quick reference guide and an even more quick reference small card that can be attached to an included lanyard, which is a lot of documentation for a pretty straightforward device.
