m4 - NOT JUST A BACKUP MASK

I ORIGINALLY SOUGHT THIS MASK TO USE AS A SECOND , OR BACKUP , MASK AS MY OLD MASK HAD SEEN MUCH BETTER DIVES . THROUGH A SERIES OF RECENT EVENTS , I USED THIS MASK EXTENSIVELY FOR 11 DIVES , AND WALKED AWAY IMPRESSED !! IT DOESNT FOG LIKE OTHER MASK , THE FIELD OF VIEW IS OUTSTANDING , THE SKIRT IS VERY COMFORTABLE , AND TAKES A GREAT SEAL = NO LEAKS . NOW MY DILEMMA IS CHOOSING DO I WANT TO DIVE WITH THE M4 , OR THE M3 ... DECISIONS , DECISIONS .

field of vision is good, but if you have a wide or long nose this mask may not be for you, and you will constantly feel the rubbing of the pocket.

I initially purchased the M-4 mask as a replacement to another brand mask which suddenly decided to fall apart during a dive...
I really can't find any comment for complaint on the M-4 mask - it just works. No leaks, the strap has held up nicely, the mask folds down very flat and it doesn't fog.
I now own 2 and keep one in my drysuit pocket as backup.

This mask is a copy of the Scubapro frameless mask and and has the same characteristics. I got this one as a replacement for a Halcyon mask which broke into pieces while in my drysuit pocket when surge smashed me against rocks while in the shallows. Excellent packup mask, folds down in a very small packag.

I bought this mask to dive with in Hawaii; so far I have made four dive from 110-50' and never had a problem with the M-4 on any of those dives. Fogging was minimal to non-existent, especially with the use of a defogging solution. The mask fits better than any other I've tried, it is extremely comfortable. I'm really not sure what else to say. I'm new to diving, but I tend to be a bit of a gear junkie, and I'm typically very critical of equipment. Nothing but good things to say about this. At first I wondered if the strap wasn't able to go tight enough, but the mask fits so good it stays on by itself and doesn't need to be cinched down on your face; think comfort!

Great mask! Field of view is great, seal is amazing, and it packs up nice and small. I would say that it makes a great backup, which is what I got it for, but it got promoted to primary pretty quick. As always dealing with DRIS was great!

This mask has a great field of view, nothing is blocked out. The skirt provides a great seal to a number of faces, I bought this as a backup mask but it has very quickly become a primary mask.

I've been using the M4 as a primary and back up mask for both tech and recreational diving. It's got great fit, super low volume and folds up super small into a pouch. The soft skirt fits a wide variety of faces.
