I purchased this LED bulb & reflector as a replacement for the halogen bulb & reflector in my Halcyon Scout light. I think for open water diving in poor visibility, the Scout doesn't output sufficient light. This upgraded LED module increases the light output significantly, and increases my comfort with the Scout. As was noted in thedecostop.com, you will need to flip the batteries upside down, and also apply a layer of electrical tape or heatshrink to the outside of the LED module, to avoid having the light be constantly on. I think it is a great upgrade, though very highly priced.
