I purchased two of these for back up lights for cave diving. They are light weight, well constructed, compact, last up to 6 hours burn time, and they are remarkably powerful. Don't hesitate if you need a quality back up light!

Sweet Backup Light

My local tech diving instructor turned me on to the Light Monkey back up light. I use a Big Blue 4000TL for my primary cave diving light due to the long burn time. I purchased two of the 2 watt Light Monkey lights as backups due to the compact size, very light weight, solid construction, , long burn time, searing beam (cuts through bad silt), ease of use and storage. They're clipped and secured with bicycle innertube rings on my harness. Don't hesitate to pull the trigger on these!

Great light in a small package!

Got this as a backup light to my canister light. Compact and very simple. Next to nothing that can go wrong or break. Enough light to be a primary on it's own for recreational day time dives. I plan on picking up a second one next time they are on sale.

I have one of these and I like to use it with my camera mount as it is nice and small and allows me to get into cracks or crevices to record. Quite bright despite its size and bombproof.

Didnt buy it from DRIS, but thought I would do a review while I am looking for another light. Anyway, this light is amazing. Its specs dont look as good as other lights in this price range, but dont let that fool you. This light has a great beam pattern that is perfect for night time reef dives and "ok" for looking in crack and holes during the day. It is extremely well built and Light Monkey is one of the best light makers out there. I have used it on numerous occasions as my primary light for clear tropical dives and it is perfect for that. I keep it clipped off on my harness at all times, day and night, and if I am using it as my primary, I mount it in an Oxycheq light sock. You cant go wrong with this light!
