This Hog Signal Marker is available in Orange / Yellow and also 36" , 4ft, or 6ft lengths. It has an overpressure relief/manual dump valve. You can fill it thru the nipple valve, or thru the bottom of the SMB (on the 6' smb). The 6ft has an open bottom and the smaller ones have a sealed or closed bottom.

6ft is Great

I'm very pleased with my SMB! I like the design of a ring instead of the flimsy plastic clip that can be found on some SMBs. The orange color is slowing running out/fading a bit, but in general I'm very happy with this. The leaded bottom weight is easy to open and add air to. This is my first SMB and I have enjoyed practicing deployment. 6 ft is more visible than other sizes, but the bulk it adds is noticeable and it is hard to stash away and tends to flap around about on my waist D-ring. I attach my spool and SMB using a double ended snap clip and it makes for a very nice setup. This is very easy to dry out, and the plastic pocket at the top for glow-sticks is a great idea for night dives.

Prior to this I carried around a small 3.5-4ft SMB cheapie as it was required on local boat dives. The 6ft HOG SMB is far better. The cheapie only had an oral one-way valve, the 6ft HOG has both the oral valve and the semi-closed bottom inflation options. Additionally, the 6ft HOG SMB is weighted at the bottom to help it maintain an upright position, it's large enough to be seen, it's buoyant enough to use as emergency floatation or an awkwardly shaped lift bag, and it rolls up into a relatively small package. I'm knocking off a star as I feel the single bungee loop isn't as secure as I'd like it to be, and because they did not include a d-ring at the top of the SMB for easier use as an emergency floatation device (by using a double-ended bolt-snap to connect the top and bottom of the SMB together).

I purchased this on the advice of my GUE Fundamentals instructor. The smaller size of this smb makes it easier to practice deploying from shallower depths and still get the smb full. Quality built with quality materials. I would highly reccomend to anyone looking for a smaller smb.

SMB is very well made and for the price it is hard to beat. It is either bottom inflate or oral inflate. It doesn't take up too much room for its nice which is nice.

I got the smallest one and it is a bit to small on days when the ocean isn't perfectly calm. It easily shoots up without much effort, which is a plus. It is small and fits inside a BCD pocket with the spool and all.

It's a very nice smb, I liked having the choice of color and size. As well as both oral inflate and bottom inflate. I also liked having a little bunny cord to keep it all packed away nice and tight.

This is a well built SMB. It can be inflated using various methods. There is an over pressure valve which works well. The smaller one takes very little to shoot up from a swallow depth.

This smb is perfect. Capable of both oral inflate or through the bottom. Folds up smaller and has a bungee too keep it wrapped up till you want it.
