PADI Freediver Basic Course: Discover the Thrill of Breath-Hold Diving
Ever dreamed of exploring the underwater on a single breath? The PADI Basic Freediver course is your perfect introduction to the world of freediving – a discipline that's all about inner power, control, and a unique connection with the ocean.
This one-day course is your first step. You'll learn essential breath-hold techniques in a confined water session, and you might be surprised to discover you can hold your breath for up to four minutes! You'll also cover freediving principles and equipment through online independent study and classroom time with an instructor.
Freediving offers a completely different perspective than scuba diving. It's quieter, more intimate, and marine life often reacts differently to divers without bubbles. Even if you're already a certified scuba diver, this course will enhance your skills, teaching you to use less air and feel more relaxed underwater.
This course results in a pool-only freediving certification. It's a great way to get started and practice your skills. Want to go further? You can always upgrade to the full PADI Freediver certification with open water dives later!
Age Requirement: 12 years or older. (Younger? Check out our Kids Scuba Courses!)
Equipment: While we provide most gear, a well-fitting mask and snorkel are recommended (we have a great selection on-site!).
