Viking Pro 1050 Drysuit: The Choice for Demanding Dive Operations

For commercial divers, rescue professionals, and technical divers who operate in the most demanding conditions, the Viking Pro 1050 Drysuit is a proven and dependable choice. This suit is engineered with a heavy-duty EPDM natural rubber shell, focusing on durability, wearer protection, and operational functionality.

Construction for Professional Use:

The Viking Pro 1050 is built to withstand the rigors of repeated, heavy use in challenging environments.

  • Why EPDM Rubber Matters: This material provides excellent resistance to abrasions, punctures, and many common chemicals, making it an ideal choice for divers working in hazardous water or high-wear scenarios. The material weighs 1050 +/- 100 g/m² and includes a heavy-duty polyester lining.
  • Why Fused Seams Matter: The seams on this suit are internally reinforced and fused with rubber. This advanced construction method creates an incredibly strong and completely watertight bond, eliminating traditional stitching as a potential point of failure or leakage.

Packed with Professional Features:

This suit comes ready for work, equipped with features designed for safety and utility:

  • Massive Storage Capacity: Four large bellows pockets (two on each thigh) provide ample space for carrying tools, reels, backup masks, and other essential equipment.
  • High Visibility: 3M reflective safety strips are placed on the suit to enhance the diver's visibility to teammates in low-light conditions.
  • Integrated Protection: An attached latex hood, latex neck seals, and latex wrist seals with Pro Cuffs create a complete barrier against water ingress. Double-thick kneepads provide extra material and cushioning in a key contact area.
  • Footwear: Comes standard with attached 5mm neoprene socks, ready to be used with your preferred overboots.

A Complete System, Ready to Go:

The Viking Pro 1050 is more than just a suit; it's a complete system. Your purchase includes a Viking duffle bag, a drysuit repair kit, a drysuit inlet hose, internal suspenders, a drysuit manual, zipper wax, and talc powder. It features a heavy-duty back entry zipper.

Available in Black or Red and in sizes from Small through 3XL.

Viking Pro Drysuit
Review by
I own two of these drysuits (red and black). One of them new, and one was a reconditioned suit from a local public safety dive team. I have been diving for over 31 years, and in that time, I have had the chance to dive in a variety of exposure gear. By far the best suit to dive in is the Viking Pro. The suit is pretty indestructible. Proper care to the zipper, neck, wrist and hood, and proper storage of the suit will give many years of service.
If repairs are needed, they are quick on this type of suit. Suiting up is simple, and quick. The suit is durable and offers protection for diving in contaminated waters--and I recommend the latex hood (for full face mask diving) because of it's great seal to the mask, and I recommend the wrist ring/cuff system. For care of my suits I use Tribolube SC spray on all the seals, and use zipper wax on the zipper. My suits are both size 4W. Viking won't fit every physique out there, but if it fits you, it's worth the cost! I still dive "wet" when it's really practical to do so, but the vast majority of my diving now is in the Viking Pro suit.
