Technical

The TIZIP MasterSeal 10 is made from high-strength fabric coated with thermoplastic polyurethane. The extra strong plastic teeth are fixed on the top and bottom of the zipper tape. The zipper’s coupling elements keep the sealing edges tightly sealed together when the zipper is closed. The zipper tape can be both welded and glued.

The TIZIP MasterSeal 10 slider is made from a metal compound which is non skin irritating and salt water resistant. The slider movement is contact free and does not wear on the zipper tape or the sealing edge.

Tightness
The TIZIP MasterSeal 10 is easy to operate, and pressure tested to 500 mbar.

Heavy bending may cause leakage. Please try to avoid.

Dirt or Sand
The TIZIP MasterSeal 10 is highly resistant to damage caused by dirt or sand. However if dirt or sand are present, the zipper should be cleaned with soap and water. Dirt particles can affect the sealing function if they get caught between the chain profiles. If the TIZIP MasterSeal 10 closure is used to protect life or sensitive material, the sealing function and cleanliness of the chain area should be thoroughly checked prior to every usage.

Stability
The TIZIP MasterSeal 10’s performance in terms of strength and durability is very good. However, sharp bending or twisting should be avoided.

When closed, the TIZIP MasterSeal 10 has a cross-breaking strength of minimum 125 N/cm.

** Due to the odd bend of a Whites Fusion Drysuit, this zipper does NOT work on them.**

Very good product

Light weight zipper, easy to install, easy to zip and unzip, almost carefree. I’m wondering... is there any negative things to say about this zipper?

Easy Install - High Quality

Very easy to install, requires some effort to properly scuff up the surface for good glue adhesion. As always from TIZIP - another high quality zipper!

nice option

Installation was as any other zipper. Sewn, glue or weld depending on your type of suit. I installed this in a DUI suit from the 1980"s and that required sewing and gluing. This zipper is nice and light. The operation is easier and smoother than the brass zippers. I have checked this in a pool as well as ice water and everything functioned well. Durability is still a wait and see, however with German engineering I have quite a bit of faith that it will at least meet if not exceed the Chinese brass zippers. It's nice to finally have an option in zippers. Shipping and handling from DRIS was as usual great.

I bought this zipper to replace in one of my dry suits. It is a very light dry suit so I figured this would be a good choice. Installation was the same as a YKK zipper. This zipper is light and flexible, which was a good match for this suit. I dove this suit 3 times so far with no leaking. Ii am happy with it and as always DRIS provided excellent service.

I did a couple dives with the tizip zipper after replacing my old metal zipper and I like the new one a lot more. It is a lot lighter and a lot more flexible. It is also easier to zip and unzip. You don't have to be as careful with it since it will not break if you bend it too much and the maintenance is almost carefree. I don't know how long it will last compared to a metal one but if I had to guess I'd say it will just as long and probably longer. Anyways, great zipper and great price.

My DUI spare suit needed a new zipper and I decided to try one of these as the technology seemed leaps and bounds better than the old YKK zippers.

Removed the old one, cleaned up the area, hand stitched the new one in place, applied DRIS drysuit glue on the outside material from the stitches and sealed the stitches and edges with Aquaseal. Installation was easy albeit time consuming, but it was worth it.

Love the new zipper, easy to open and close, easy to clean, light weight, and feels really sturdy.
For my future zipper needs this will be my go to. I highly recommend this for anyone who are looking for a zipper replacement.

Delivery from DRIS was quick as always.

T zip is a great option to replace your older ykk brass zippers. It is more flexible and easier to zip by yourself. I would recommend you try to have one of these installed on your older suits when its time for a new zipper.

I've replaced my YKK zipper with one of these. I like that its more flexible then then the old brass zipper.

Ordered it online and had it shipped to Canada zippidy quick. DRIS was very helpful in providing suggestions and tips on the installation.

The TIZIP is a newer technology so I'm curious on how it lasts.

If you are in need of a new zipper on your suit, go with a t-zip. I have been using the original ykk zippers for years, I tend to go through one in about 1-2 years depending on use, aka I tend to dive a lot. The TIZIP's are more durable and resistant to abuse then the YKK. Low Maintenance, slight bit of lube at the sealing point at the end, and keep it rinsed off.

Anyone buying a used drysuit should have one of these installed as well as a si-tec neck system for quick changes on neck seals.

Got the TiZip to replace a faulty zipper on my kayaking drysuit. I must say that I am impressed at the performance. It is lighter, easier to operate, and more durable than the traditional zipper it came with. Installation was a bit difficult, requiring sewing and gluing, but that's just the nature of installing a drysuit zipper. After pressure testing my suit, I found the seal to be excellent. I expect this zipper to outlive my drysuit. I will never buy another drysuit with a traditional zipper again.
