Description
DiveAlert Surface Air Horn: Be Heard When It Matters Most
Ensure you can be heard at the surface with the DiveAlert. This specially designed, lightweight air horn cleverly integrates directly with your BCD's power inflator, giving you access to a piercingly loud audible signal to get the attention of the dive boat from a distance.
Why a DiveAlert is a Key Piece of Safety Gear:
Yelling for the boat in choppy seas or from far away is exhausting and often completely ineffective.
- Why it Matters: The DiveAlert uses a tiny amount of air from your scuba tank to create an incredibly loud sound that has been reported to be heard up to a mile (1.6 km) away. In conditions with limited visibility, high waves, or if you surface a long way from the boat, this powerful signal is a far more effective way to announce your position.
Seamless Integration with Your Gear:
The DiveAlert connects easily between your low-pressure inflator hose and your BCD's inflator mechanism using chrome-plated brass quick-disconnect couplings.
- Why it Matters: This smart design requires no permanent modification to your equipment and does not interfere with the normal operation of your power inflator. It's simply always there, in an intuitive location, ready to be used.
CRITICAL: Choose the Correct Model for Your BCD!
It is essential to order the correct model to ensure a proper, leak-free fit with your specific power inflator. Please check your gear carefully.
- Model dB1: Fits all standard power inflators (the most common type).
- Model dB2: Fits the SeaQuest AirSource (1&2), Zeagle Octo-Plus, Oceanic Air XS, and MARES AirControl.
- Model dB3: Fits the ScubaPro Air 2, Tusa Duo-Air, Atomic SS1, and Zeagle Octo-Z.
Operation & Care:
To activate, simply press the red button. Be careful: This horn is extremely loud and should never be pointed toward yourself or anyone else at close range to avoid potential hearing damage. After diving, rinse it with fresh water while it's still pressurized along with the rest of your gear.
Add a powerful surface signal to your safety kit. Be sure to select the correct model for your BCD and order your DiveAlert today!

Reviews
Tested it on the surface and it IS LOUD!!!
Definitely take the advice of one of the reviewers above and duck your head underwater while using it.
I don't keep it hooked up either. I have it in a butt-pack on my BP. If I need it, it's there.
Perhaps the only con is that it will hurt your ears. I'd rather be half death and on a boat then have perfect hearing drifting at sea.
After ten years exposure to salt water mine has finally become corroded and needs service, I will send it in with my Regs next time they get service, maybe I should have been doing this all along? Great piece of safety gear.
