This comprehensive program combines elements from several DAN courses, including:

• Emergency Oxygen for Scuba Diving Injuries
• Neurological Assessment
• First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries
• CPR HCP
• Bloodborne Pathogens

You'll learn about:

• Anatomy and Physiology: Relevant to diving and first aid.
• Decompression Illness: Recognizing and managing decompression sickness and arterial gas embolism.
• Oxygen First Aid: Administering emergency oxygen.
• Medical Emergency Management: Conducting scene safety assessments, initial and secondary assessments, and managing various injuries and illnesses.
• Bloodborne Pathogens, and how to prevent exposure.

You'll develop practical skills in:

• One- and two-person CPR (adults, children, and infants)
• AED use
• Obstructed airway management
• Controlling bleeding
• Bandaging and splinting
• Applying the pressure immobilization technique
• Managing severe allergic reactions
• Performing a F-A-S-T assessment (for stroke)
