You never think you need it until you do

I just got my recue certification. In it my instructor told us to keep these on us at all times because you just never know when you'll need it. Last weekend a diver was pulled from a dive hot spot I was at just the day before and was in need of CPR. That was a close call. I keep mine with me at all times now.

I purchased this incase I am ever in an emergency situation and need to give CPR. Scuba diving does have its risk and I do dive with family. It is a good device that may end up having someone's life.

It's a disposable CPR shield that folds out to use. Its good to keep one on your keychain but I also carry a pocket mask in my dive bag that has the O2 attachment port on it. Its convenient to carry one but a better mask is definitely better.

I have one of these, i opted for one after having completed my rescue diver class. While its nice to have within arms reach, I personally don't think if I needed to preform cpr I would reach for the protector, as I think the mental load would be a bit high :) but its nice to have if i ever need it and is useful if their are bodily fluids which you wish to avoid contact with.
