Reviews
The last reviewer was critical of the fit and hung his whole negative review on that it was a poor fit on him. For my body type it fits perfect but let’s be you can't expect a non-custom garment to fit every single person, that's why you try it on before you buy it or you send it back when you realize it doesn't fit but that doesn’t make it a bad undergarment.
Does it keep you warm? I wear this garment with a super lightweight wicking top and bottom under it on most dives and if I am expecting much colder water (sustained bottom times at or below 40°) I will wear an expedition weight wicking top and bottom layer underneath the BZ200. Warmth is super subjective and will vary from person to person but I am fine doing 90+ minute dives in mid 50° water and have done 60 minute dives with 30 minutes in water the rate below 40° and been fine.
The BZ200 has some great details that I have grown to appreciate. Starting at the collar, it feels and works great with my neck seal. I’ve never have a problem with it bunching up or getting in the way.
The pleats and elastic in the midsection keep the garment sucked in pretty tight when standing but allow for excellent mobility and flexibility when bending. Sandi put a button hole for the p-valve hose routing at waist level which I absolutely love, no more having to leave zippers partially undone. The mesh at the wrists allows better air movement when I'm trying to push gas into and out of my dry gloves.
The shoulders also have a more porous and fabric that allows great movement and pushing gas out of your suit. I've never had a problem getting gas out of the dry suit dump which I experienced wearing one of my old undergarments.
Overall I think the attention to detail, construction methods, and materials used in this undergarment are excellent. It's two years old with well over 100 dives and it still looks brand-new. I would not hesitate to buy another Santi undergarment and will probably replace my DUI dry suit with a Santi when that time comes.
