I bought the Fusion boots primarily because I did not want to HAVE to buy new fins. The fact that the integrate with my Fusion Bullet was a significant plus. First off, these boots are soft, much like normal neoprene boots you would wear in warm water. As such, they do not provide much ankle support. For me, that was a plus. Having worn stiffer boots prior to this purchase, I did not like the feeling of finning with stiff ankle boots. As for walking on uneven surfaces, it's not that hard. I learned to do it when I was 2. If walking on uneven surfaces with all the gear weight is a concern these are not for you, and do not try hiking, carrying a heavy bacpack to school, travelling with a carryon, etc. It is just not that hard. I wear a size 11 and was advised to get a 12. I wish I would have gone with the 11. They are long and wide, even for a 12.
They are easy to don, easy to doff. The inserts could be a bit better, but absolutely not a deal killer.
If you are thinking about getting them and do not need splint-like ankle support, go for it. They have quality construction and they work great with the Bullet suits.

I wanted to share my experience with the Fusion boots compared to the Evo 3 boots. I am a W6-6.5 shoe size and I found a size 7 in the Fusion leaves just enough room for the MK3 sock. (This is the same size that I wore in the Evos.) Although the length is the same, it appears that the Fusion is lower in profile as they are much easier for me to get on and off the Hollis F1 Regular fin pockets. They are also much quicker for me to don as I don't have to fight with tightening the laces on the Evos. I did not have any issues with the inserts staying in place. And yes, I did find that the Fusions have very little ankle support while walking on uneven rocks - but on the plus side they have very little limitation if you want to maximize the ankle range of motion in your propulsion technique. Finally, I was a little worried about getting air in the feet as the material seemed a bit stretchy but I was pleasantly surprised that the velcro straps seemed to keep the Fusion boot snug and secure feeling. All in all, I think I like the Fusion boots a bit better for the convenience factor.

I use the Fusion boot with a Fusion Sport DS. They seem to run very narrow. I also find when they are attached to the suit, the velcro on the "bag" that would typically attach to the skin, now catches on the lycra as there is nothing for it to grab onto. I use a size 8 with XL Jet Fins.

These boots do the job and are so easy to put on the fusion suits. They are pretty stretchy and very comfortable. I went a size larger so that i could have plenty of room for multiple layers of socks as well as the excess from the drysuit its self. They do not offer lots of support but it is not all that bad.

These boots are really a necessity when diving with a Fusion drysuit. The built-in drysuit socks by themselves would be too oversized and delicate without them, even for boat diving. The boots attach with Velcro to the suit and essentially become a permanent part of the suit once they are attached. However, all the Velcro attachments and getting your feet in/out of the boots does take some practice and getting used to doing. They are a little different from normal drysuit built-in boots. The Fusion boots are small and compact, and you will not likely need a greatly oversized pair of fins for your drysuit. You might even by able to use your normal wetsuit fins. The Velcro ankle strap also works well to keep air out of the feet, so a foot-up attitude will not result in inflated boots. The boot size should be the normal winter boot size you would wear with heavy socks underneath. DRIS has great customer service, and my girlfriend was able to easily exchange the boots when her first pair proved to be too small.

I went with these when I ordered my Fusion Bullet for a couple of reasons.
#1 - so that I wouldn't have to buy new fins. This worked as planned - I wear a size 11-11.5 shoe, so went with the Size 12 boots. They fit my Large Tusa Zoom fins just fine - same or better than my wet boots (Size 11 Mares with the thick shoe like sole).
#2 - they're attached, so less chance or forgetting them. Works as planned - I can don and doff the suit with the boots attached. The plastic inserts work as planned (but was a little confused what they were at first since not mentioned anywhere really).
Downsides: They do seem to hold a bit of water. When I hang the suit to dry, I can come back later and dump water out of the boot by lifting it up. Eventually I want to get a "feet up" drysuit hanger and see if that helps. I suspect it's water getting trapped around the floppy sock of the suit. For long term storage, it's probably best to remove the boots from the suit to make sure it's completely dry.
As far as ankle support, I use these at a local quarry site where I'm going up and down stairs as well as on some somewhat uneven terrain. If I was doing shore entries over more rugged terrain, I'd be ordering the Evo boots instead.

Overall a good boot but priced high. I wear a size 11 shoe and went with the size 11 fusion boot, works great for me.

These boots are well made and have their purpose, but if you are shore diving and need to walk up or down inclines and uneven rocky areas I would recommend going with the Evo3. They are easy to get on and are comfortable but they do not offer much for support and make it hard to walk on uneven rocky surfaces. As usual the buying process from DRIS was easy and great service.

I like these boots. They are very light weight and pack easily for the traveling diver. The boots are also very comfortable to wear. I can see that it will be very convenient to leave these boots "permanently" attached to the dry suit when I am on vacation. I cannot wait to dive them as that means I will probably be in some tropical locale. These are one of the two accessories I got for my Whites Fusion dry suit so that I can dive dry anywhere. Thanks to everyone at DRIS! Your customer service rocks!

The Fusion boot makes the suit look very uniform and put together, however does not have a lot of stability built in as some other overboots do. Consider another option if shore diving. 5" steel plate and seven screws in my ankle wish I had opted for a more sturdy boot. Boot is fine from a boat.
