This is a fantastic DIN plug. The o-ring does its job perfectly in sealing your diving cylinder when the tank is accidentally turned on. You will need an appropriately sized spanner to undo it. Make sure that you carry one with you! My only criticism is that it does not come with a cord for simple storage. I think that the reason may be that this is a heavy plug and with a cord attached to the cylinder, it will annoyingly bang the cylinder during the dive. Highland should make a simple storage device for this purpose.

Other reviews are correct. I was impressed with how nice these look. The finish on them is very nice. I love that they stick out of the valve far enough to get a firm grasp on them to unscrew. I have these in 4 of my tanks that I use regularly. It's nice to know that my gas will still be there when I need it, and that no additional dirt or debris has fallen into my valve during storage or transport.
I might have to get a couple more so my other tanks don't get jealous.
DRIS is my favorite online shop to deal with. If I lived closer, I have no doubt they would by my favorite local shop also. The staff are friendly and knowlegeable. Order these and other items from this dealer without a doubt.

I have these in every cylinder I own. Not only will they save your gas if the valve gets cracked open but it could protect your valves from damage. In the last year I've seen two friends ruin valves from knocking over cylinders, both times I think this would have prevented the damage. Like Bryce said bring a wrench with you if you use these. If the valve does get opened with these in it all it takes is turning it out about 2 threads till the O-ring no longer seals and the gas escapes, problem solved.

I did not buy this from DRIS but I should have. I paid almost twice this price and I am kicking my self for it. The din plug is super high quality and does exactly what it is ment for. But if for some chance you do turn on the valve while this is installed you will need a wrench to remove. Just some food for though. you will need to bring a wrench along in your dive bag.

I was a tool and die maker for 10 yrs and the quality of these bad boys is what you get when each piece is done individually by a superior machinist.
If you tank accidently gets turned on you wont have to worry about losing a lb of air/oxygen/helium. Could save you tons.

I'll keep this short but sweet!!! These are the finest plugs available, I highly reccommend them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought two- one for each of my dobles yokes!!!!!!!!!!!! Worth every cent and then some!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is an extraordinary piece of machining. If you want a DIN plug that does not have the groove up through the threads, this is for you. It has eight full threads, with a partial remaining on both ends, so it will work perfectly with 200 BAR and 300 BAR DIN valves.

I use these to protect the gas in my spare rebreather cylinders. They are well made and function well, just make sure you have a wrench along that opens large enough to fit the hex in-case they get pressurized. This was the best price I found for these and will order more net time I place an order.

These are well-made works of art. No question they are the finest din plugs made. They will even seal if you leave your tank open just a little or you have a "roll-on".
