Great bolt snap, made for underwater uses! Don't just go to the hardware store and buy these but instead get them from DRIS. The hardware store one's normally don't use the correct marine grade metal meaning that they will corrode and get stuck open after a few uses.

This is a stainless steel bolt completely. It has a stainless steel spring which many stainless steel bolts do not have which is the first thing to fail on them.

Quality bolt snap. I used it for clipping off lights and regs. These have a nice smooth action and finish. I am debating whether the 3 inch works well with thick gloves, or if i just need more practice.

I use these snaps to attach spg and back up lights to my bcd. I also have attached them with shock cord to a variety of other items which i might bring on various dives. This size seems just right in terms of size and the fact that they are stainless means they are less likely to rust or corrode. So far mine have not and I am a happy camper.

I bought a couple of these bolt snaps with my DRIS 1K Shorty lights at a discounted price and I am very happy with them as they have held up well with no issues. Having said this, I am not sure this item is any different quality than the DRIS bolt snaps which I have also bought but are priced cheaper. (Initially, I thought maybe the DRIS ones would not swivel since they cost less but they seem to be the same.) So I gave this item 3 stars because of the price compared to the DRIS ones - even though it is a quality item that is priced less than what the LDS would sell it for.
