I bought this hood for diving in Ohio quarries. This hood performs well. Very warm with my dry suit in the 40 degree water. Fits a little more snug than my old hood. Im sure with use it will not be so tight. Very pleased once again with the folks at Dive Right In. As always great service.

received one of these when I purchased a pinnacle drysuit, love the hood. Keeps my bald head incredibly warm during ice dives. Does tend to keep an air pocket around the ear area which sometimes can be a bit annoying but every so often I just have to squeeze/press on the hood to vent the air.

This hood is a nice upgrade from my 5mm. It has kept me plenty warm down to 39 degrees and it is very comfortable. I was concerned that it would be a bulkier and harder to don than a 5mm, but it is effortless if you buy the right size.
The thinner neoprene on the face is very comfortable and does not want to pucker your face like other hoods. It does not feel any colder in any area despite having thinner areas.
Fits great with my drysuit neck seal and would recommend.

I really like this hood

I really do like the hood, but I did need to add a beanie underneath to keep me warm in mid 40s to low 50s. I am also a little upset at Pinnacle for calling this a 7 mm hood. It really isn't a 7 mm hood - it has a 5 mm face panel and a 3 mm neck panel. Waterproof for example tells you exactly what you're buying upfront, does not hide it in the small print.

Kept daughter warm with some flushing

Daughter was too big for a size xs hood, it was too tight. We tried this one and fought getting it on, but then it was a little loose. She will grow into it though. She said that her bubbles would fill the hood and then when she tried to clear ears the bubble would move and help her clear. So, in the end, maybe it being a little big isn't too bad.
It is nice that there is no zipper to get the ponytail stuck in, but it can be a bit tough to squeeze your head into the opening, there is an art to it.
I would say that the sizing between brands can be an issue, so maybe if you are between sizes, consider ordering both and then returning the one that doesn't fit before you dive it.

This is a really good hood that keeps you plenty warm without feeling to bulky. It is easy to don and drys fast. Theres not much more to say other than its a 7mm hood
