Advanced First Stage Technology:
The heart of the Blizzard Pro is the unique 9000 Series first stage. It features Sherwood's patented Air-Assisted Depth-Compensation (A2-DC) technology. This innovative system uses ambient pressure changes and internal pneumatic force to compensate the chamber, keeping the first stage environmentally sealed, dry, and remarkably responsive to changing depths. This flow-by piston design minimizes corrosion and maintains peak performance over time.
Engineered for the Cold:
The second stage incorporates features specifically designed to combat freezing. The OPP Demand Lever reverses the pivot point, reducing opportunities for ice formation. A stiffer exhaust valve minimizes water intake, further preventing in-housing ice buildup. The injection-molded thermoplastic LP seat maintains its shape better than softer materials in low temperatures.
This regulator is CE Certified and meets the EN 250:2014 standard, including cold water performance testing, making it suitable for water temperatures as low as 39°F (4°C). (Note: Ice diving techniques should be used in colder waters). Available in Yoke or DIN configurations.
